Horses lend us the wings we lack

This is the first post on my new blog. I’m just getting this new blog going, so stay tuned for more. Subscribe below to get notified when I post new updates.
I met Isla about 9 months ago, I had been looking for what I thought was a impossible horse to find. In fact I made a list called the unicorn list. I was prepared to adjust it little bit here and there as I thought it was going to be difficult.
Horsey people will laugh when say I wanted a safe, sensible, forward going horse with something about it! I sure did! Anyway that’s what I spent time looking for. I had called about a few and messaged some other for sale ads. No joy. Then up popped Isla on a fb sight. At no point did I think I would actually get her.
Less than a week later I became a highland pony convert and she was at home with me. I have to thank the wonderful people who sold her to me for making this the easiest purchase of a horse ever! and of course 2 very good friends who supported me all the way.
I didn’t think I would be doing dressage on a highland pony and having the time of my life doing it. O.k we are doing intros and working towards prelim, but we are both having a blast!
Isla is such a strong character, cheeky and in charge. She seems to get a fan club wherever she goes. So we thought we would have a go at a blog on our life together. Our adventures out and about and at home. Of course the other four legged beasts round here will I’m sure join in a long the way.
