Hi, well what can I say, I think I was born mad about horses and never grew out of it! I started riding at 8 and eventually persuade my folks at 14 to let me have a pony.
I worked with horse from 17 and took my BHS exams, but I always wanted to have my own livery yard(must be nuts!) I got that opportunity in my 20’s and have never looked back.
I have competed in showjumping, eventing and dressage at different times in my life, but have only just started competing again in 2019 after an accident that really had a big effect on me.
2013 I had a nasty fall and shattered my knee, I was told it was a life changing injury and I wouldn’t ride again! I like most riders looked at the doctor and went “don’t think so!” but a year on crutches did put a stop to it.
I worked hard at physio and was determined to ride again, but I hadn’t really thought about nerves. Omg they hit me like a ton of bricks. It’s taken 6ish years to beat the nerves. They still creep in now and again but Isla is helping me climb that mountain, along with some amazing friends and family.
